My two grandkids are the sweetest kids I know. They have traveled with me a lot, and they are just so lovely to be around. I have been blessed to have these two because as I get older I have been able to really appreciate who they are as youngsters. My daughter and her husband have been great to me also, but they are very busy at times and I don’t really get to see them much. They bring the grandkids over for me to babysit while they go off on their excursions.I am very happy that I am still very active at my age. They participate in cookie baking as much as possible.The other day my grandson brought a contraption that is new to me, over to the house. He said it was an iPod. He was listening to it while he was baking cookies. Now that doesn’t really lend itself to conversation so I just let him be while we were making our cookies and laying them out on cookie sheets. My grandson left the kitchen to go to the bathroom and I heard a scream before he came back. I went as quickly as I could to the bathroom to see what the matter was. Somehow, he had dropped his iPod and it fell into the toilet! He was very upset because he had to fish it out. Well, it was a little soggy but I thought that maybe there was a way to get iPod screen repairs. He didn’t think so, but you know when kids are young they always are so dramatic.
