When I met my boyfriend, Daniel, I just knew instantly that he was “the one”. He had a great sense of humor, ambition, and decency. He was very generous, respectful, and he treated me like the most amazing person in the world. We decided to get married just two years after meeting, in his home town of Holly Springs, Mississippi. At first I thought I wouldn’t like it, but when we actually got there, I realized it was a very nice little town. The folks were really old fashioned, but such wonderful people. This really was the perfect place to commemorate the start of a new life. I loved it. This place was such a pleasant surprise. I really did fall in love with it. Anyway, Daniel and I were scrambling around with our wedding. We had so much to go through and do. His parents were such a great help – and so were his brothers. I was on the phone constantly, calling different places and arranging for the delivery of flowers, cakes, furniture, decorations… it was a nightmare! I thought things couldn’t get any worse… but I was wrong. I was really starting to stress out and pacing back and forth in his family’s living room when I suddenly tripped over my own feet. I went sprawling to the ground and my phone flew right out of my hands. I landed in a heap, but managed to scramble up fairly quickly to check on my beloved phone. Sure enough, I’d broken it. There was a long split right down the screen… I was devastated but Daniel walked in right then and noticed what had happened (I have a reputation of being a little clumsy).
