I was only three months away from turning sixteen when my parents decided to get a divorce. We had lived for as long as I can remember in Bennett, Iowa, but my dad made the decision to take off and move to Center Junction. I apologized up and down to the lunch lady, but she could only laugh. When I got my phone and went into the bathroom to clean myself up, I realized the monitor now had a very long crack down the glass. I was devastated! My first day of school was ruined and I went home crying about the iPhone. When I got there I told my mom everything that had happened, but she didn’t seem very bothered.
