The streets were packed and people were everywhere – evidently doing some last-minute Christmas shopping. I hated the crowds, so I recommended we go by this little-known coffee shop on the comparably “bad side of town”. I thought it would be safe, but I guess I was wrong. We drove to the place and went inside for our “cup of joe”, emerging a few minutes later to find a man standing by our parked car. He lunged toward our group, completely insane. I have no idea what he was going for, but I dodged out of the way, dropping my phone in the process. A friend of mine was screaming for help and, I think, her raised voice must have startled the man. I grabbed for my iPhone as he disappeared into a nearby alley and I hopped into the car with my friends. We tore out of there as fast as we possibly could. When things felt safe again, I looked over my phone and noticed a deep crack down the screen. My friend saw me fumbling with the cell and recommended an iPhone repair company that had done a great job with her nano iPod repairs.
