I have always been a fan of yoga, which is why I downloaded the app to my iPhone. Still, I wondered since I am not working with a professional yoga instructor if I am actually doing it right. That is why I decided to check out some of these helpful tips on my iPhone to find out the very best way to get my yoga on without hurting myself.
First of all, for anyone out there that is practicing the downward facing dog, it’s important not to drop your shoulders, or it could cause an injury. Instead, make sure that you are lifting your shoulders to take off the pressure and pressing your hands evenly on the floor. When you are doing the lunging pose of Warrior I, it is also important not to push your knee over your ankle. Apparently, this is a very common yoga mistake, but it could cause strain on the knee with potential injury. Last of all, when you are doing the plank pose, which is a pose at the top of a push-up, make sure that your backside is not straight up in the air. It’s important to have a slight diagonal turn from the shoulders to feet so that you get your ab work in.

Are You Doing Your Yoga Right?
Tuesday, April 27th, 2010Adam Lambert on Twitter
Thursday, April 22nd, 2010
If I am addicted to using Twitter on my iPhone at every waking moment of the day, it would only beg to reason that Adam Lambert may feel the same way. Twitter is a big avenue for a number of celebrities, and when it is conveniently on your iPhone, it can be pretty hard to stay away from. Adam Lambert reached out to his followers on Twitter due to their concern about him mentoring on American Idol, but he promised them to be family-friendly and provide good entertainment.
It is a little strange that one of the top two on last season’s American Idol was experiencing criticism about going back on the show. Of course, compared to Kris Allen, he is definitely nowhere near as family-friendly. You have the clean-cut, good guy image versus the dark and theatrical Adam Lambert, which is quite a difference between the two. Since his time on American Idol, he has also come out as gay, which may have caused concern in many American Idol fans about his family-friendly behavior. Now that his mentorship on the show has aired, it was obvious that he was on his best behavior and provided helpful criticism to all of the contestants. I’m still a fan!
Frequent Flyer Rewards, Here I Come!
Tuesday, April 13th, 2010
Most recently, I have been a little obsessed with getting all of my frequent flyer airline mile rewards because I am itching for some travel. For this reason, mileBlaster was the ideal iPhone app for me at a hefty $5.99, although it was well worth it. This lets me manage all of my frequent flyer points from my different rewards programs, which helps me stay up to date in what I am earning. I think that one of the worst mistakes that people can make is having all of these rewards that accumulate, but they never use them because they are not aware of them.
This app lets you set up your own account, which is quite simple, to organize all of your rewards. From there, you can add your different rewards to your list, which will give you a little chart of where you are in reaching your ultimate goal of free travel. You also have the option of adding detail to each of the accounts, which may help you remember exactly what you are spending. I myself am planning a fun little weekend vacation to San Francisco, even though I felt like I should visit my family instead. Who cares? It’s vacation!

Find out the best way to get your beauty fix through the Spa Finder iPhone app! I have to admit that I am a hopeless beauty addict, whether it is getting a pedicure, an adorable hairstyle, or even a massage. Actually, I am especially addicted to massages, so having the Spa Finder app is the perfect tool because it gives you local maps in your area, which include deals that are currently being run as spa specials. Of course, it is unbelievably enticing not to pass up on many of these deals, especially if there is a discounted pedicure nearby.
For all the ladies out there, this may be a fun app to have to share with your family members and friends. As an example, if your sister is coming in town, and you want to do a fun little manicure together, you can just check out the Spa Finder iPhone app to see if there are deals on manicures nearby so that you can have a little bit of sisterly bonding time while she visits. This may also give you the opportunity to safely explore different beauty salons in your area if you want to find a new stylist, new nail technician, or even a new massage therapist.
