Meal Planning Made Easy

Friday, November 27th, 2009

mealI am definitely a health-conscious person, but I tell you what, it can get pretty frustrating to try to figure out the healthiest meals available ALL OF THE TIME. One great iPhone app for you to download if you’re interested in eating healthier is the Dietician app. This is supposed to work as a standalone meal plan generator on the iPod touch and iPhone. This is an app that uses tracking systems, which is a type of meal planning that can often only be accessed through subscription services.

This is much different than keeping a food diary because it will plan all of your meals for you and give you access to healthy recipes. If you are hoping to eat healthier or even lose weight around the holidays, then you can make sure that all of the meals that you are cooking are up to par. This is a personalized application that is going to help you choose meal plans that are exactly tailored to meet your needs. You can put in your weight, and then you can also put in your goal weight to make sure that all of your meal planning is correct. The best part of all is that it will show you all of your meals for the day so that means less planning on your part!

Twitter Can Save Lives?

Friday, November 20th, 2009

medical-careIt is pretty tempting to always get on Twitter on your iPhone, but it seems that it can be a great tool to keep you safe and protect your life. Many different medical centers are starting to use Twitter to keep tabs on their patients, which includes tweeting to a link for more information on insulin for patients with diabetes. Other organizations have also put out updates on the swine flu, and even the British Medical Journal put their information online on Twitter.

This means that if you are interested in keeping your health on track, then all you have to do is read some informative tweets on Twitter on a daily basis! Let’s face it, the odds are that you are already probably on Twitter all of the time, but now you can find out valuable health information. One of the greatest benefits to Twitter is that it can get the word out, including if a patient may need a transplant. In one specific story, a young girl in New York City had thousands of people respond to her tweet for the need of a bone marrow transplant. This gave her the help she needed in a minimal amount time.

Are You Using Your iPhone For Entertainment?

Friday, November 6th, 2009

One of the best uses for the iPhone that I can think of is its modern convenience in planning out entertainment. For instance, if I am out with a group of friends, and someone suggests going to a movie, we no longer have to go home to look on the Internet or even in a newspaper – all we have to do is pull out one of our iPhones, and we can directly check the movie times. I know that society is getting more and more advanced, but it’s difficult to remember the days when you had to check the movie times in the newspaper!

Otherwise, there are so many helpful applications for entertainment, like choosing a restaurant nearby. There are so many times that I am again out with a group of friends, and we just can’t decide where to eat. Maybe somebody has an idea, like they are in the mood for Chinese, but they just can’t think of a place nearby. All you have to do is get out your trusty iPhone, and if you have the Urban Spoon app, then all the better. There are so many apps on the iPhone that will help you choose great entertainment choices nearby, so take advantage!
