Has anyone noticed how many kids these days adore Miley Cyrus? My daughter is completely obsessed with her, and I am not sure that I see the attraction. She is getting more scandalous than ever, so it is difficult to know if she is a good role model for kids. However, her popularity doesn’t lie, and she is one of the biggest teen stars of all time.
Interestingly enough, her real name is Destiny Hope Cyrus, so I am not sure where the name Miley came from. I do know that my daughter has spent a serious amount of money downloading Miley Cyrus music from iTunes, and that is pretty much some of the only music that she has on her iPod. Miley, of course, is the daughter of the former big country star, Billy Ray Cyrus. I guess growing up among all of that fame prepared her for stardom because you can see her everywhere these days. As far as her music goes, I think that it is wonderful for kids to be able to listen to on their iPods, especially compared to many of the other artists that are out there. As far as the concert tickets go, I’m not sure that I’m willing to pay thousands of dollars for my daughter to see her!
